Can you clarify "Java client version 8.0.4"? Is this the Java Runtime Environment version? If yes, can you try a more recent release? 8 update 91 is the newest.
Are you seeing this same behavior when viewing the report using the HTML Interface and the Applet (which requires Java)?
Which browser / version are you using? Does the behavior change depending on what is used?
I think the first step to resolve this is to figure out of the problem is Java based, or dependent on browser version, or if this could be something with the Input Controls etc.
